Pensacola, Fla. (March 2, 2020) – Brent Patton has been named director of Access Behavioral Health (ABH) at Lakeview Center.

Patton has been with the organization since 2011. Most currently, he served as senior application engineer and IT team lead. He served on the ABH IT Roadmap team for the past six years collaborating to implement the current claims payment system as well as several system upgrades, enhancements, regulatory/contractual reporting requirements, and expansion into region 2. Patton will now oversee ABH operations, contract compliance, and assist in strategic planning activities focused on growing the ABH program.

Since 2001 ABH has managed the mental health and substance abuse services for Medicaid recipients and for residents in northwest Florida. In the early stages, ABH covered 30,000 lives using Medicaid mental health benefits. Today, that number has grown to 110,000 lives within five health plans managed by three insurers. ABH serves 18 counties in northwest Florida. “I joined Lakeview because I needed a job, but I stayed because of the culture, the people and the Mission of Helping People throughout Life’s Journey,” said Patton.

Patton volunteers with the Navarre High School Boys Soccer Boosters. He graduated from John Brown University, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems.
