Autism Spectrum Disorder Outpatient Services - Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
We all want what’s best for our children. If your child is on the autism spectrum, we can help you navigate your life journey.
We began in 1954 by serving the needs of children who were experiencing personality, emotional or social difficulties. Since then we’ve grown into a comprehensive human services agency, and we still serve a lot of children.
Autism Spectrum Disorder Outpatient Services
Autism Spectrum Disorder requires that we look through an individual lens at each child who comes through our high-level care program. We serve young people from ages 2 to 21. Our team meets families where they need us: in their homes, at community locations, in clinics or at schools. Children are unique and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy will help us focus on your child’s needs.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
ABA is a scientific discipline that looks at behavior trends and applies a Trauma Informed Care approach to helping children. The principles of ABA guide our clinicians toward improving your child’s ability to function at a level that’s appropriate to him or her. They do this by reviewing events in your child’s life to determine which ones may be contributing to challenging behaviors. Then they introduce new skills to replace those behaviors. The treatment team comprises the child, the family and ABA clinicians who establish goals, create a behavior support plan, monitor and evaluate the outcomes of the applied interventions. Parent training also is a strong component of our program.
Our clinicians include Masters level professionals trained in the principles of ABA, Board-Certified Behavior Analysts® (BCBA), and Registered Behavior Technicians™(RBT). We also have psychiatrists and mental health counselors on staff.
