Food Services

Since 1992 Global Connections to Employment (GCE) has provided award-winning full-food and dining attendant services to the United States Navy, Air Force, Army and Coast Guard as well as the Armed Forces Retirement Home, the United States Air Force Reserve.

The long-term relationships we sustain with our customers helps us fulfill our Mission of “helping people throughout life's journey.” Our service excellence has earned us recognition through the form of many awards and accolades.

Currently, we provide food service operations at 26 facilities in seven states and the District of Columbia, employing more than 500 persons with disabilities. Our dedicated team serves more than 11,000,000 meals every year at single, multiple-building and base-wide food service operations locations.

Health Care Food Services Operations


Culinary Favorites Health Care Dining Services provides customized solutions specifically geared toward enhancing and improving the patient and staff health care dining experience.

Gulf Breeze Hospital, Gulf Breeze, FL – (Since  2014)
At this location we provide a full-service dining program including: Patient nutrition support, retail café, vending, floor supplies, doctors’ lounges, Meals on Wheels and catering services. We serve 348,703 meals annually.


Legends Cafe at Andrews Institute, Gulf Breeze, FL – (Since 2014)
Our team provides waited table service. We serve 133,970 meals annually at Legends Cafe. We cater anything from snacks to black tie events.  Our sales are $237,770 annually. We also provide a specialized nutritional program for professional athletes and elite military members through strategic partnership with EXOS Performance Center Management.


Armed Forces Retirement Home – Gulfport, in Gulfport, MS - (Since 1992)
Our team is responsible for full-food services at this premier retirement home for military veterans. Services provided include: cooking, baking, salad preparation, food serving and ensuring that the food services facility is clean. We serve over 588,000 meals every year in three dining rooms to retirees who require ambulatory, non-ambulatory, assisted dining and long-term care at this facility accredited by The Joint Commission.


Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, DC - (Since 2005)
GCE provides full-food services at this premier retirement home accredited by The Joint Commission for military veterans including: cooking, baking, salad preparation, food serving and ensuring that the food services facility is clean. We serve over 610,000 meals every year at eight dining facilities (Ambulatory, non-ambulatory, assisted dining, and long term care. GCE was awarded this contract in a streamlined A-76 competition as allowed through the SourceAmerica® program.


Lakeview Center Food Services, Pensacola, FL (Since 2012) 
We provide food services at our corporate office location in Pensacola, FL to include: cooking, baking, salad preparation, food serving and ensuring that the food services facility is clean. Our team serves 167,000 meals every year for clients and staff and delivers meals each day to 50 to 100 in-patient clients.


West Florida Community Care Center, Milton, FL (Since 2012) 
We provide food services at this 80-bed State of Florida psychiatric treatment facility including: cooking, baking, salad preparation, food serving and ensuring that the food services facility is clean. Every year, we serve more than 87,500 meals to the residents.

Military Food Services

U.S. Military Food Services Operations

Duke Field, U.S. Air Force Reserve, Crestview, FL – (Since 2000)
One weekend each month we serve more than 1,500 meals at this Air Force Reserve Command. Our GCE team is responsible for food attendant services with contingency cooking, baking and salad preparation. We were recognized as the John L. Hennessy Award winner for the U.S. Air Force in the following years: 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2009, 2011 and 2012. 


Eglin Air Force Base, Fort Walton Beach, FL - (Since 1999)
Our team is responsible for food attendant services at the Breeze dining facility. We serve more than 584,000 meals each year, and achieved the “Best in Command” recognition for four consecutive years. We also achieved the John L. Hennessy Award for “Best in Food Service in the Air Force” in 2003, 2006 and 2009. Read about all of our awards.


Eielson Air Force Base, Fairbanks, AK – (Since 2013)
We are responsible for food service attendant services, cashier services and contingency cooking, baking and salad making during special operations. We serve more than 179,000 meals at this facility each year.


Joint Base Lewis-MChord (JBLM) Air Force Base, Tacoma, WA – (Since 2010)
Our team is responsible for food attendant services with contingency cooking, baking and salad preparation. We serve more than 326,675 meals each year.


Joint Base Lewis-MChord (JBLM) Army Base Fort Lewis, Tacoma, WA – (Since 2010)
Our team is responsible for food attendant services at 11 dining facilities. We serve more than 4,571,625 meals each year. Our food service excellence led to achieving the United States Army Philip A.Connelly Award in both 2014 and 2015.


Naval Air Station Pensacola, Pensacola, FL – (Since 2001)
We are not only the food services provider for this naval installation which has the single, largest, galley in the U.S. Navy, but we also provide administrative and custodial services. On average more than 9,000 meals are prepared and served each day. Naval Air Station Pensacola achieved the 2010 Captain Edward F. Ney Memorial Award for the Best Food Service Operations Ashore for which our organization provides all food services. We received a five-star accreditation every year since 1993. More than 400 of our dedicated staff members are employed through this contract.


Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, MS – (Since 2005)
Since 2011 we have been recognized with the Five Star Accreditation. The award means a lot since our team is responsible for food attendant services at this installation serving more than 896,000 meals each year.


Naval Station, Newport, RI – (Since 2009)
Our team is responsible for food attendant services at this installation serving more than 576,000 meals each year. In 2010, we were recognized with the Five Star accreditation.


Naval Submarine Base, Groton, CT – (Since 2009)
Our team is responsible for food attendant services at this installation serving more than 547,000 meals each year. In 2010, we were recognized with the Five Star accreditation.


U.S. Army Fort Polk, LA – (Since 2012)
Our team is responsible for food attendant services at this installation. We serve more than 179,000 meals each year.


U.S. Army 7th Special Forces Group, Eglin Air Force Base, FL – (Since 2011)
Our team is responsible for food attendant services. We serve more than 159,500 meals each year.


U.S. Coast Guard, Air Station Clearwater, FL – (Since 1998)
GCE is responsible for the food attendant services at this Coast Guard Station. We serve more than 109,500 meals every year. Our quality is so excellent that we were recognized by IFSEA being presented the United States Coast Guard Forrest O. Rednour Memorial Award  - Large Ashore for four years (2001, 2002, 2004, 2007), and we were the runner up in 2003 and 2008.


U.S. Navy Explosive Ordinance Disposal School, Niceville, FL – (Since 2002)
GCE provides full-food services to service members of the U.S. Navy, Army and Air Force as well as members of foreign countries who are assigned to complete EOD training at this installation. We serve more than 195,000 meals each year at this location.
